How to Play

Play Daily Takuzu online for free. Takuzu is a logic game where you must place in red or black tiles in a way that fills the entire grid. The grid cannot have more than 2 tiles of the same color be adjacent in any row or column. Each row and column must have an equal number of tiles of both colors. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select the difficulty level to begin:

        With your mouse:
        Left click on a square to turn it black.

        Controls & indicators
        The game’s indicators are located on the right side of the screen. From the top, these are as follows:

        The first row of buttons, from left to right:
        Undo button: Removes your last actions
        Pause button: Momentarily stops the game’s timer
        Reset button: Returns everything to the way it was when you began

        Generating puzzles
        The game offers a different puzzle for every day of the year.
        You can choose up to 365 to 366 different puzzles for each grid in each difficulty level.
        You can play again via the following:
        Choosing the puzzle of a different day on the calendar.
        Choose a different puzzle size.
        Choose a different difficulty level.
        Choose next on the winning screen.
        Objectives
        You start with a grid with a few red and black squares already revealed.
        The number of squares already in place will depend on your difficulty level. The harder the game, the fewer your starting squares.
        Some squares will appear in pairs already.
        Cover the entire grid in red and black squares
        Rules
        No three consecutive squares, horizontally or vertically, can be the same color.
        Each row and column must have an equal number of red and black squares
        Strategy
        Look for pairs. Logically a pair of the same color leads to a square of a different color on either end. This will quickly fill up large parts of the puzzle for you.
        If an empty space is between 2 tiles of the same color, the space between them is automatically filled by a tile of a different color.
        Count the number of tiles of each color in every row or column. If the number of tiles of one color are half the number of spaces in a row or column, the remaining tiles must be of the opposite color.
