How to Play

Play Valentine online for free. Valentine is a grabbers styled version of Mahjong Solitaire themed after Saint Valentine's Day. Clear each level of stones quickly to maximize your score and advance to the next of 40 levels. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the Play button along the right side of the welcome screen to start the game.
Under the Play button are buttons for how to play Help, High Scores, and More Games.
The lower left corner of the welcome screen has a language select dropdown.
The lower right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for social media sharing and reading game developer information.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use your mouse left click button to select a stone which can be reached from one of the screen edges (left, right, top or bottom) and then select an identically matching stone to remove the pair.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Tap the screen with a finger to select a stone which can be reached from one of the screen edges (left, right, top or bottom) and then select an identically matching stone to remove the pair.
    - Controls & indicators
      - The right rail of the game has the game controls.
        At the top there are buttons for pausing the game and switching to full screen mode.
        Under the above buttons are indicators showing your cumulative game score, level number, and remaining time to beat the current level.
        At the bottom there are buttons for sound control and music control.
        Game Play
        Stone matching
        Identical
        You can only match identical stones.
        Stones feature romantic-themed items like rings, pendants, gems, clocks, lips, lipstick, letters, chocolates, and roses.
        The borders of stones turn red when you select them.
        If the second stone matches and is open then both will be removed.
        If the second stone does not match the first then the first stone will be deselected.
        Open
        The stones you match must be accessible to an arm which reaches in to the screen from an edge (left, right, top or bottom).
        As you remove stones it makes more of the remaining stones accessible.
        Levels
        This game has 40 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
        You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without starting the game over at the first level.
        You beat levels by clearing all the stones from the board before the timer reaches zero.
        Level time
        The first stage gives you 2:04.
        Later levels give you different time levels that vary from level to level. For example, level 12 gives you 1:59 to complete it.
        If you do not beat the level before the timer reaches zero it brings up a level failed screen with an End Game button.
        If you click the End Game button you can submit your game score, but you then have to start back at the first level.
        If you would instead like to retry the game do NOT click the End Game button & instead refresh your web browser to replay the level you lost.
        Stones
        The first stage has 32 stones, or 16 stone pairs.
        Later levels have more stones on them. For example, level 12 has 60 stones, or 30 stone pairs.
        Scoring
        Your game score is cumulative across levels.
        Each pair you match is worth 100 points.
        If you remove multiple sets of the same item type in a row it creates a bonus multiplier which starts at 2x, then goes to 3x, 4x, and 5x as you match more of the same stones consecutively.
        Subtract 3 seconds from the time you have remaining when you beat the level and each remaining second thereafter is worth roughly 100 points.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like Mahjong Solitaire tile match games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
